Private Banking Enhances Personalized Service at AVB Bank

(Broken Arrow, OK) –   AVB Bank announces the launch of its private banking services, reinforcing the bank’s commitment to personalized service, long-term relationships, and comprehensive financial solutions for those with sophisticated and complex banking needs.

AVB’s private banking services will provide a high-touch, consultative banking experience tailored to individuals, families, business owners, and professionals seeking customized financial guidance and a more seamless approach to managing their financial well-being. Designed to evolve alongside individualized needs, private banking will emphasize discretion, accessibility, and relationship management.

“The launch of private banking represents a natural evolution of how we serve our customers,” said Ted Cundiff, Chief Executive Officer and President. “By formalizing this offering, we are enhancing our ability to deliver customized solutions, proactive guidance, and the level of service our customers expect from a relationship-driven community bank.”

Ben Dejene, Senior Vice President, has been named Director of Private Banking. Dejene joined AVB in 2003, building his career through service and relationship banking from the ground up. He has held numerous roles within the Retail Banking department, including Part-time Teller, Personal Banker, Branch Manager, Assistant Vice President, Vice President, and most recently, Retail Banking Director. As the Director of Private Banking, Dejene will lead the development and growth of the bank’s private banking strategy, ensuring individuals and families receive a cohesive, personalized experience aligned with their financial goals.

Dejene’s extensive background in retail and relationship banking, combined with a deep understanding of the bank’s culture and customer base, positions him well to lead this new initiative. Having served in leadership roles across the bank, he brings continuity, trust, and a strong relationship-first approach to private banking.

“Private banking is ultimately about relationships,” said Dejene. “Our focus will be on
understanding each individual’s unique financial picture and serving as a trusted partner, coordinating
banking solutions in a thoughtful, highly personalized way.”

The launch of private banking aligns with AVB’s long-term strategic vision and its commitment to
delivering sophisticated financial services while maintaining the personalized attention and local
decision-making that have defined the bank for over 120 years.

Born and raised in Ethiopia, Dejene earned his bachelor’s degree from Addis Ababa University. He
became a United States citizen in 2001, an achievement he describes as one of the proudest moments of
his life. Dejene and his wife, Meski, along with their two children, proudly call Broken Arrow home.
Dejene is a graduate of the Oklahoma Bankers Association Consumer Lending School, Intermediate
Bank School, and Emerging Leaders Program. He is also an alum of the Graduate School of Banking
Colorado (2012), Leadership Broken Arrow, and Leadership Tulsa (Class 70).
